Description
Finca Rosa Blanca Inn is nestled in a forest of towering trees and exotic flora on a plateau in the Central Valley. This prime location has breathtaking views of volcanoes, cloud forests and coffee plantations. The inn is set among beautiful gardens of 300-year-old “Higueron” trees and lush tropical fruit trees. This setting allows the visitor to experience the diverse nature of Costa Rica throughout their stay. The hotel also offers an extraordinary hillside swimming pool, cascading waterfall and relaxing hot tub. The lounge and dining area in the main building offer elegant chef-designed four-course meals that incorporate the local and organic fruits, vegetables, meats and fish that Finca has at its disposal. |

Activities
The staff can arrange personalized tours and naturalist guides to Braulio Carrillo National park, cloud forests, rain forest reserves, butterfly gardens, coffee plantation tours or volcano tours. Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can try activities such as bungee jumping and white-water rafting.
Finca Rosa Blanca is also in close proximity to Braulio Carillo National Park, were you can find miles of trails to explore as you experience the wonders of this unique cloud forest. Also nearby are three major volcanoes: Barva, Poás, and Irazú. Barva has forested slopes, cloud forest, and wildlife. Poás and Irazú are still active, though safe to visit. Poás is well-known for its huge crater lake. The Inn will be happy to arrange a day trip to any of these locations. |

Finca Rosa Blanca offers many different lodging options, from the most elegant Master Suite to the smaller unique junior suites. Whichever room you choose, you are assured of a comfortable stay and a unique Costa Rican experience. The Inn’s selection of accommodations include our extraordinary Master Suite, three elegant Junior Suites, two spacious villas, and three uniquely appointed double rooms, each with its own private veranda. The Rosa Blanca Suite is a stunning duplex, with the sleeping quarters occupying a tower 40 feet above the ground offering a 360-degree view of the lush countryside, a master bathroom, a private den and terrace. Each of the three private Junior Suites is decorated with different themes and has a private terrace and bathrooms. The two-bedroom villas are spacious and have decks offering stunning views of the Central Valley. All of the rooms are bright and airy, with large windows that let the visitor experience the natural beauty of the outdoors while in the comfort of their own room. |

Commitment to Sustainability
Since its conception in 1985, Finca Rosa Blanca’s priority has been to have the least possible negative impact on the environment and the community, while bringing its guests an educational and aesthetic experience in the diverse environment of Costa Rica. Finca Rosa Blanca has concentrated on an ambitious plan of recycling, regeneration, social awareness and education to assure that its impact on Costa Rica is light. Finca employs an aggressive recycling system that recycles all food waste into fertilizer that feeds the gardens, and recycles all non-organic waste such as glass, plastic, metal and paper. Finca Rosa Blanca is also very supportive of the local community and has dedicated a substantial amount of their profits as well as 5% of the cost of every meal sold at the hotel to help rebuild the Barrio Jesús primary school in Santa Bárbara de Heredia. Because of these efforts, they have been awarded the highest rating from the Costa Rican Tourism Board for their compliance with the CST (Certification for Sustainable Tourism), a program that encourages ecological and sustainable tourism in this country. |
Location/Getting There
Just 15 minutes from San Jose in the Central Valley, the Inn’s location is perfect for many adventurous day trips and activities. The inn can arrange transportation with its own van to and from the San Jose International Airport and other destinations in the Central Valley.
Rates
The rates at Finca Rosa Blanca run from $160 to $240 for a single and $180 to $270 for a double. This rate includes a complimentary full breakfast. Four course dinners at the lodge are $35 a piece. Please remember to add 16.4% tax to all rates.
